See the buzzards
Right in our valley you can walk for miles or pony trek from the ancient Priory at Llanthony.  We have owls, buzzards, redstarts and many other species of birds on our farm.  Even swallows nest in our porch outside the dining room.

Directions

                 Snow 2007 CLOSED

From Abergavenny take the A465 Hereford road for approx four miles until you come to the large road sign on the left saying Llanvihangel Crucorney, Skirrid, Llanthony.

Turn left here and after a quarter of a mile turn left again by the Skirrid Inn. This is reputedly the oldest pub in Wales.

Turn left here and keep on the Llanthony road for a mile and a half until you see the Queen's Head Inn on your right. Turn left here and keep going up the steep hill for exactly three quarters of a mile, passing one house Penrhw on the left.

You will then see a red glass triangle ahead with our farm gates set back on the left. It says Gaer Farm clearly on the gates. Turn in here - you have arrived.

From Hay either come the longer way through Crickhowell and Abergavenny OR if you wish to use the road 'over the top' to Llanthony, please remember that it is very narrow and passing cars can be difficult.
